Job Overview
Luckett Vineyards is a 90 acre farm with 52 acres of vineyards in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia
We are seeking a reliable, skilled and self-motivated Equipment Operator to join our viticulture team. This is a dynamic role that blends precision equipment operation with viticultural monitoring and harvest support.
Candidates must have tractor driving experience. It is recommended to have prior experiences with different tractor attachments such as mowers, fertilizer-, lime- and compost applicators, hedger, leaf plucker, harvester, sprayer. An applicator license and some mechanical knowledge is strongly recommended.
The vineyard consists mainly of hybrids with a few vinifera and our production goal is to produce high quality, premium grapes (vs. high volume smaller sized/lower quality grapes).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Equipment Operation and Maintenance in a safe and efficient operation
Assist with maintaining all other crops which requires crop rotations, use of cover crops, mechanical and hand-tool cultivation and application of composts, mulches, fertilizers.
Assist with maintaining farm equipment and facilities in safe operating condition at all times.
Harvest and Cellar support

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent organizational/time management skills
· Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail
· Able to frequently lift up to 100 lbs
· Good Communication, Math and Literacy Skills
· Team Player
· Experience with farm equipment (tractor, sprayer, tiller, Radius, etc.)
· Valid Class 5 drivers license
Compensation
COMPENSATION:
• Competitive Wage $20-$25/hr, commensurate with experience
• Full Time Seasonal – 45 to 55 hours/week
• Comprehensive Company Benefits Plan available after probation period, cost shared
