Vineyard Manager

Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards are looking to hire a passionate and dedicated Vineyard Manager.

As Vineyard Manager, you will be responsible for the hands-on farming of our 30-acre estate vineyard located between Summerland and Peachland on the shores of Okanagan Lake.  Working closely with the Winemaker and Company President, you will be responsible for leading a small but dedicated team of full-time and seasonal workers to produce top quality still and sparkling wines.

The role includes:

·       Planning and execution of all vineyard operations from pruning, through to harvest, in    close cooperation with the winemaking team.

·       Implementation and management of economically viable sustainable farming practices

·       Management of vine and soil health including testing

·       Implementation of integrated pest management plan

·       Operation and maintenance of tractors, vineyard equipment and tools

·       Vineyard infrastructure maintenance (trellis, irrigation, roads)

·       Record keeping for vineyard operations, inputs, and staff timesheets

·       Leading a small team of seasonal and full-time workers

·       Working with management to establish and work to budgets and performance goals

·       Adherence to safe work practices
