Job Overview

Clos du Soleil Winery is seeking 6 reliable and physically capable Vineyard Workers for seasonal employment at our vineyard operations in Keremeos, British Columbia.

The successful candidates will perform a variety of vineyard and grape-production duties throughout the growing and harvesting season.

Main Duties

  • Plant, cultivate and maintain grapevines and grape crops.
  • Assist with pruning, thinning, tying and training grapevines.
  • Maintain vineyard rows and remove weeds and unwanted vegetation.
  • Monitor and maintain grapevines and crops throughout the growing season.
  • Harvest grapes by hand and place harvested grapes into containers or bins.
  • Sort, handle and move harvested grapes.
  • Assist with vineyard preparation before and after harvesting.
  • Clean and maintain work areas, hand tools and basic agricultural equipment.
  • Perform general vineyard and agricultural duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Employment Requirements

  • No formal education, degree, certificate or diploma is required.
  • Previous vineyard or agricultural experience is an asset but is not required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Must be physically capable of performing repetitive and physically demanding agricultural work.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and handle agricultural materials and containers weighing up to approximately 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Must be reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work early mornings, weekends and holidays when required by vineyard operations.

Compensation

Hours: 40–60 hours per week. Actual hours may vary depending on weather, crop conditions and operational requirements.

Schedule: Work schedules may include early mornings, weekends and holidays depending on weather, crop conditions and vineyard operations.

Employment period: March 1, 2027 to October 31, 2027.

Work locations: Clos du Soleil vineyards, British Columbia.

Vacation and statutory holidays: In accordance with applicable British Columbia employment standards.
