Viticulture Technician
Position : Full time

Grand Pre Wines is a family owned Estate operation. Our winery comprises five departments, Farm, cellar, retail, restaurant and Inn. Our viticulture program is dedicated to growing premium quality grapes, and investing in the Canadian wine culture.
Viti Tech
- Field work and data collection for crop yield forecasting
- Scouting and data collection for our Integrated Pest Management program
- Field work and data collection for assessing vines.
- Assist with some aspects of new development.
- Maturity sampling closer to and during harvest
- Petiole and soil sampling as required.
- Working hands on with farm team
- Machinery work including spraying
- Flexible schedule to work on weekends occasionally
Requirements
Requirements:
- Having or working towards a degree, diploma, or certificate in a certified Viticulture/Oenology.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors, working alone. This position is outdoors
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail when collecting and handling data
- Valid driver's license and transportation
- Genuine interest in wine and viticulture.
- Ability to operate farm machinery
- Self-directed in performing daily activities, take direction & execute without supervision
- Previous experience managing staff an asset
- Must have worked in a vineyard
