Job Overview
Fine Artisanal Wines & Food is a bottle shop and wine bar in the Annex/Christie Pits area of Toronto. We are looking for a self-motivated, outgoing, enthusiastic, hands-on wine professional with hospitality experience and a flair for sales, service that drives client loyalty and referrals.
Duties:
Lead operation of the bottle shop/wine bar including maintaining wine, food and merchandise levels, POS system use, organization & cleanliness.
Engage one-on-one with guests to ensure a welcoming, polished, and memorable experience.
Wine sales and service, often facilitated with samplings.
Food and wine table service.
Ensure compliance with liquor regulations and health and safety practices.
Hours: Tuesdays to Fridays 4:00 - 10:00pm. Saturdays 2:00 to 10:00pm.
Requirements
WSET or Sommelier certification.
Smart Serve Certification.
Food Handler Certification, or must be willing to obtain certification.
Minimum 3 years hospitality service experience.
Proven leadership skills, organized and solution-oriented.
Strong sales focus with appreciation for wine.
