Job Overview
Dandor Estate Winery is Niagara-on-the-Lake’s newest farm winery, owned and operated by the Bodistean family. Inspired by Moldova’s 5,000-year winemaking legacy and captivated by the unique climate of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the family recognized an opportunity for world-class, premium grape varieties to flourish. The Hospitality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site retail and hospitality operations at the winery, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional service experience. This role focuses on building and leading a welcoming, motivated team while maintaining efficient and effective daily operations. Managers will be working onsite in the tasting room conducting tastings as a part of their core daily duties.
Winery Location:
780 Concession 2 Road Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, L0S 1J0
Additional Duties:
• Ensure winery property is maintained in safe and immaculate condition
• Staff scheduling
• Tour and event bookings
• Receiving and managing inventory
• POS system support
• Balancing daily cash deposits
• Other general duties as required
Requirements
Work Schedule:
• Regular work week Wednesday through Sunday (non-negotiable)
• Winter hours: 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Summer hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Full-Time, approximately 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a management or assistant management role within retail or hospitality
• Retail, tourism, or hospitality experience and/or education
• St. John Ambulance First Aid, WHMIS, and Smart Serve certification considered an asset
• Interest in wine; formal wine education considered an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Sugar Bush POS considered an asset
• Experience with Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake event programming a plus
Physical & Scheduling Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Comfortable working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
Compensation
Salaried position with two weeks of paid vacation.
