Retail Sales & Floor Associate

Qualifications

• PROSERVE certified (required)
• Comfortable lifting 30–40 lb cases (required)
• WSET Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent wine education), or strong wine-related experience
• Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills
• Passionate about wine and eager to learn
• Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
• Experience coordinating social media accounts and creating content (considered an asset)
• Experience coordinating events (considered an asset)
• Digital skills including experience with: (considered an asset)
• • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Canva or similar design tools
  • Profitek and Shopify experience (considered an asset)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience

• Greet and assist customers with wine, beer, and spirit selections
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations
• Operate POS system (Profitek) and process transactions

Floor & Merchandising Upkeep

• Maintain organized, well-stocked shelves and displays
• Restock shelves, fridges, and feature areas
• Ensure all products are properly faced and priced
• Manage and rotate feature sections & fridges (e.g., Top Wines Under $30)
• Modify front display updates and in-store merchandising

Inventory & Deliveries

• Assist bringing newly arrived product up to store
• Shelve and apply barcodes and SKU labels to new products
• Assist in packing and outside deliveries

Ongoing Operations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization across all store areas (incl storage)
• Restock supplies (bags, glassware, accessories)
• Manage recycling, garbage, and box pickups
• Coordinate product for weekly features (e.g., Thirsty Thursday, Fancy Friday)
• Support social media content prep (ensuring featured wines are ready)
• Verify and maintain external signage (“A-frame” placement, visibility, and tracking)
• Assist with event setup and execution
